Cullman County FCCLA members put their culinary skills, creativity, and leadership on display during the annual All-County Beef Cook-Off held September 15, 2026, at Cotton Creek Venue in Cullman.
Sponsored by the Cullman County Cattlewomen’s Association, the annual competition brought together Family and Consumer Sciences students from across the county to showcase their abilities in preparing and presenting beef dishes. The event gives students a chance to apply classroom skills while gaining valuable experience through friendly competition.
Jacob Fales of Fairview High School took home the top honor, earning 1st place and the opportunity to advance to the State Beef Cook-Off in April.
Additional winners were Reese Guthrie of West Point High School, 2nd place; Fuller Williams of Good Hope High School, 3rd place; Jacey Harbison of Fairview High School, 4th place; and Katie Holmes of Vinemont High School, 5th place.
The event also recognized outstanding student leadership within FCCLA. Baylee Dye of Cold Springs High School was named Cullman County’s Most Outstanding FCCLA Member. Dye will be formally recognized for this achievement at the Farm City Banquet in November.
The All-County Beef Cook-Off is made possible through the support of the Cullman County Cattlewomen’s Association and the dedication of FCCLA advisers throughout Cullman County. Advisers include Mrs. Stephanie Blair, Cold Springs High School; Mrs. Amie Veal, Cullman Area Career Center; Mrs. Brittany Gardner, Fairview High School; Mrs. Amanda Williams, Good Hope High School; Mrs. Amy Chambers, Hanceville High School; Ms. Kalie Faulk, West Point High School; Mrs. Amelia Burke, Holly Pond High School; and Mrs. Madison Sapp, Vinemont High School.
Through events such as the Beef Cook-Off, FCCLA students can strengthen culinary and career-readiness skills while developing leadership, confidence, and professionalism.

Most Outstanding FCCLA Member
Baylee Dye of Cold Springs High School was named Cullman County’s Most Outstanding FCCLA Member and will be recognized at the Farm City Banquet in November.
