Students wishing to receive the Alabama Seal of Biliteracy must apply at their local school by the end of the first nine weeks of the student’s senior year.

• Successful completion of all high school graduation requirements
• Demonstrate proficiency in one of the approved English language assessment options. See the Options Table below.
• Demonstrate proficiency in one or more other languages via a benchmark score on an approved assessment.
