Stephanie Blair, a 23-year veteran educator at Cold Springs High School, is one of five finalists in the nation for the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America Adviser of the Year.
According to the FCCLA, the award, sponsored by the U.S. Army, is the highest honor a chapter adviser can receive and aims to recognize and celebrate the dedication, leadership, and excellence of outstanding chapter advisers who have made significant contributions to the growth and success of FCCLA at the local, state, and national levels.
More than 70 educators were nominated from across the country, with five finalists selected after a rigorous nationwide process. Mrs. Blair was nominated by Kim Mitchell, an instructor at Jacksonville State University.
Mrs. Blair was awarded a $1,000 prize for her dedication and impact on the organization. The national winner will be announced at the upcoming National Leadership Conference in Seattle, Washington.
“Stephanie is an exceptional teacher and we are so proud to have her represent Cold Springs High School,” said Eric Dickerson, Cold Springs High School Principal. “Though she is a national finalist this year, Stephanie has been a model of consistency by performing at a high level for a long time and our FCCLA program has excelled due to her leadership.”
"Mrs. Blair pours her heart into the students at Cold Springs High School,” said Dr. Shane Barnette, Cullman County School Superintendent. “She annually creates young professional leaders that complete in their craft, and she is definitely well deserving of this honor."
