Cullman County Schools is supporting hurricane relief efforts by providing an opportunity for you to donate items at your local school that will be taken by local churches to the disaster zone in North Carolina.
Temple Baptist is taking donations for winter items such as coats, hats, gloves, and other clothing. Blankets, sheets, sleeping bags, pillow, and socks are also being accepted. Temperatures are expected to be in the 30s in North Carolina next week. Temple will be taking those items to North Carolina on Saturday, October 12.. (These items have since been delivered).
Hanceville Methodist Church is accepting items ranging from toiletries to non-perishable food and bottled water. Items will be loaded Sunday, October 20 and will be taken to North Carolina the next day. You can find a full list of accepted items at this link.
"I think this a good opportunity for us to model servanthood for our children," said Dr. Shane Barnette, Cullman County School Superintendent.
If you would like to donate items, please send them to your local school. The Central Office will gather items from each school and deliver to the churches for transport to North Carolina.
Thank you for your support in this time of need.
