AmFirst January Awards

Cullman County Schools and AmFirst recognize a teacher and staff member each month of the school year who is going above and beyond in their profession.

Teacher of the Month: Wesley McSwain, Agriscience, Cold Springs High

Wesley McSwain is the agriscience teacher at Cold Springs Elementary. "The agriscience position is one that requires a diverse skillset and Mr. McSwain exemplifies that extremely well," said Eric Dickerson, Cold Springs High Principal. "Beyond his teaching, his extracurricular teams represent our school well and he constantly volunteers for activities for our school that makes our campus better," said Dickerson.

Staff of the Month: Theresa Atkins, Custodian, Harmony

Theresa Atkins serves as custodian at Harmony School. "She keeps everything looking wonderful, takes great pride in her work, and helps wherever and whenever needed." said Kevin Sullins, Harmony Principal. "She has a wonderful, positive attitude and treats the students like they are her own," said Sullins.

Cullman County Schools thanks AmFirst for sponsoring this program. Each teacher and staff member of the month receive a $100 gift card.
