It's Teacher Appreciation Week! We are so thankful for each of our Instructors and what they do for our students here at CATA each and every day! We will be spotlighting our Instructors all week long!


Thank you Estela Alonso for educating The Cosmetology Students on the application of Eyelash Extensions today at CATA . Estela is a former graduate of The Cosmetology Program here at CATA in 2015 and is employed at ElleRae Salon in Cullman.

On April 30th we hosted the Vinemont 5th Grade Class! We enjoyed having them tour our campus and explore the opportunities we have here at CATA!


Today is Principal Appreciation Day and we want to give a special shout out to Dr. Patrick! We appreciate all she does here at CATA!


This week several of our Welding Students received their Excavator Certification!





CATA Construction Technology students recently participated in the 2024 State SkillsUSA Competitions in Mobile, Alabama. Silver medalists in Community Service were Ollie Howell, Nick Lee, and Jesus Rodriguez- all from WPHS and Bronze medalists in Promotional Bulletin Board were Kevin Esparza from GHHS, Beau Huddleston and Jenna Raymond from HPHS. Other participants were Trey Quick and Jace Gibbs from GHHS; Bryce Overton and Orlando Escalante from WPHS; and Brayden Parris from VHS.


Congratulations to the following students from the CATA Cosmetology Department for medaling at the SkillsUSA State Conference held in Mobile, Alabama:
• Desmond Oakley and Valeria Valdez placed 3rd in the state in Classroom Project Display
• Mackenzie Smith placed 2nd in the state in the Natural Hair Design Contest



At the CCBOE Board Meeting in March, our Health Science & Educators in Training state & district winners were recognized. We are proud of our students!
